GLENAFTON ATHLETIC 3 KILSYTH RANGERS
Scorers: Connolly (pen), Hart, Quitongo
With strikers Craig Feroz and Joe Savage both unavailable for selection Joe Quitongo and Michael Hart started up front for the Glens and both got their names on the scorescheet. However, it was former Glens stiker Chris Zok that almost opened the scoring in 10 minutes only for his shot to blocked on the line by keeper Ally Semple. On 38 minutes the home side were awarded a penalty when Chic Connolly through on goals had his heels clipped and then clipped the spot kick home. HT Glens 1 Kilsyth 0
New signing Pedro Serrao replaced Dougie Ramsay and the break and within seven minutes had set up the Glens second goal. Chasing what seemed a lost cause he dispossess defender Calum Scott at the corner and whipped over a superb cross for Michael Hart to bullet an unstoppable header into the roof of the net. The visitors had chances to reduce the deficit but their set pieces were well off target. With seven minutes remaining Jose Quitongo pounced on some slack defending 30 yards out and danced into the box, rounded the keeper and stroked the ball home. Simon Eeles appeared to have added a fourth in time added on after an equally impressive run in on goals but he was denied by the offside flag.
