Gordon Moffat made his first start of the season, slotting in at right back and so too Mark Quinn, who filled the left back berth with Chic Connolly and Alan Middleton on the bench.

After only two minutes Jose Quitongo was crudely scythed down from behind 25 yards from goal, earning Craig Muir a yellow card.. Gordon Moffat moved to centre half to replace the injured Andy Gow and Chic Connolly filled the right back spot. Leishman came to Lugar's rescue minutes into the new half when a corner to the back post was laid back to the outskirts of the box by Gordon Moffat for Chris Merrilees to hammer a low hard shot through a ruck of player only for the goalie to see it late and block it with his legs. Ten minutes later the visitors squandered a free header at goal and then rarely threatened Semple for the remainder of the match.

It was Lugar’s Leishman that secured a point for the Jaggy Bunnets with two good saves from close range efforts by Quitongo. The first on 63 minutes after a great run into the box and cut back by Simon Eeles saw Leishman stand tall and parry Jose’s shot from six yards out and the second coming right at the death as Jose tried to guide an Eeles corner in at the back post. A minute beforehand Lugar had been reduced to 10 men when a show of dissent from John Anderson, five minutes after his first yellow card earned him a second one.
