Fine build up play  from  Chic Connolly, Willie Howie and Dougie Ramsay took the ball from flank to flank to set up Paul McMullan to fire the Glens ahead. The home side were well on top for most of the half but couldn't add to their tally. The second half followed a similar pattern until Talbot drew level around the hour mark through David Gillies which sparked a grandstand finish by the visitors. Goals from Sean McIlroy and Danny McKelvie put the Talbot in the control. Gillies added two more,  either side of a straight red card for Joe Savage, to complete his hat-trick and the Talbot rout.
