Glens new signing Juan Carrio made his 'debut' in this friendly encountered at loch Park . Conditions underfoot were far from ideal and both sides deserve great credit for serving up what proved an entertaining and competitive match.
Rovers took the lead when their centre-half headed home from a corner kick. The visitors went 2-0 up when Glens gave away possession on the half-way line and Rovers broke upfield to slot home beyond the advancing Fahey. Half-time Glens 0 Rovers 2
Rovers increased their lead when Glens failed to clear their lines and the ball broke to the far post where it was slotted home in style.
Joe Savage pulled one back for the Glens when he fought of a challenge on the right wing and then powered his way thorugh several more challenges as he slalomed across the penalty box before slamming his shot home through a ruck of players. Glens struck again when Chris Zok got on the end of a Savage knock-down from a Paul McMullan corner to play the ball back out to Stuart Tullis who lashed the ball into the net.
