GLENAFTON ATHLETIC 3 THORN AMATEURS 0
New signings Chris Fahey, Andy Ward, Chris Cameron and Dougie Ramsay were in the starting eleven to face Renfrewshire side Thorn Amateurs, managed by Glens legend Archie Halley. A first half header by Derek Anderson from a Craig Feroz cross separated the sides at the break. John Paul Grant benefited from good support work to grab a brace in the second half. The first a tap in from a yard out from a Feroz pass and the second a well placed shot from 10 yards, after Trialist had rounded the keeper and laid the ball back into the path of JP. The Glens fielded a number of trialists in the second half with each giving a good account and will be further assessed in the forthcoming friendly matches.
