GLENAFTON ATHLETIC 1 Cumnock Juniors 1
Scorer: McGowan O.G.
As someone said very competitive but not much action. Cumnock scored with a penalty on 34minutes. No10 brought down, hard to say whether it was or not from my vantage point, but very little protest from Glens players which is usually telling. Ivan Ballandi converted the penalty with aplomb. 1-0 at half time and Cumnock probably deserved it.
Five minutes in to the second half Glens equalised. Gavin Brown chased a lost cause and nipped in in front of the defender. He squared the ball across the six yard box, Chris McGowne tried to clear but only succeeded in putting the ball in to his own net.
Not much more in the way of chances really. Cumnock could have stolen it late on whan Ballandi was through on Matthews after a defensive slip by John McCaig. Fortunately for Glens the ball went agonisingly wide.
Full time 1-1 and probably about right. Despite not having a single shot on target Glens deserved a point for their endeavours. Man of the match John Kane.
