Craigmark Burntonians 0 GLENAFTON ATHLETIC 2
Scorers: Brown, McMillan
First half Craigmark had the best chance early on, Morrison making a fine save from a snap shot in the box. Glens best chance came after about 40mins and was almost a copy of the first goal against Saltcoats. A long clearance from Morrison fell to Brown, instead of blasting it this time though he played a beautiful chip over the big keeper, but the ball hit the top of the bar and went over.
Second half the substitutions would come and Glens were brighter. Craigmark weren't giving up either and had an effort from Hoots Harvey and Morrison had another fine save from another forward. Glens took the lead after 58 minutes and what a goal. Gavin picked up the ball outside the area over to the right. He looked up saw the keeper off his line and placed a brilliant lob/shot over the keeper and into the far corner. Brown to the rescue again.
Glens came to life a bit now but couldn't seem to get the ball over the line, two games of pinball in the Craigmark box proved fruitless. The second goal came late on. Gavin picked up the ball on the left, beat the defender and crossed for McMillan to tap in from six yard (very similar to his goal against Talbot in the 2-0 win.) Time played out and Glens were through. It was hard luck for Craigmark but Glens did deserve the victory.
