Stagecoach Super League Premier Division

GLENAFTON ATHLETIC 0 vs. Bellshill Athletic  1

Few chances were created in the first half and with both goalies in good form it seemed that a repeat of the 0-0 draw at New Brandon Park six weeks ago was on the cards.  Willie Howie and Stevie Agnew came nearest to opening the Glens account in the first half, whilst Coulter came close for Bellshill. The deadlock was finally broken in the 75th minute when former Glens player Scott Miller was brought down in the Glens box and the visitors were awarded a penalty kick.  Gary Matthews saved Alex Scott’s spot-kick but could do little to stop Smith netting the rebound.

Glenafton Athletic: Matthews, McGregor, Patterson, McCcaig, Miller, Murphy, Howie, Bingham, Agnew, Allen, Johnstone.

  Subs: Blair, McAninch, Kennedy, Chiesa.
